DOs & DONTs
Select the correct tool size that fit the work piece securely.
Non Sparking Open Ended spanners are used in production or general service work and should not be used for heavy purpose applications.
Spark free Open Ended Spanner should be used to hold the bolt and NEVER used for tightening or loosening the nut.
Always use Non Sparking Ring Ended Wrenches or Non Sparking Sockets where ever possible instead of open ended spanners.
Do NOT use Anti Spark Open and Ring Spanners to open “STUBBORN/FROZEN” nuts or bolts.
NEVER use an extension or cheater bar on the spanner handle. It will break the tool and can cause injury to the operator.
NEVER strike a spanners with a hammer or any other tool.
NEVER cock or tilt Non Sparking Open Ended Spanner. The spanner should be fully seated on the bolt.

DID YOU KNOW? The rated torque of an Open Ended Spanner is ~50% lower than that of a Ring Spanner of the same size.
