Pahwa MetalTech’s Copper Titanium HVOF (High Velocity Oxy Fuel) Barrels are engineered for high strength, exceptional wear resistance, and superior high-temperature performance. Unlike standard copper barrels, these high-performance barrels retain their mechanical properties even at elevated temperatures, ensuring consistent performance without softening.

Made from our proprietary QTi® Copper Titanium alloy, these barrels eliminate all the disadvantages of Copper Beryllium while being 100% Beryllium-free, making them completely safe for operators and environmentally friendly for disposal at end-of-life.

With a softening temperature nearly twice that of copper and approximately 30% higher than Copper Beryllium, Copper Titanium HVOF Barrels deliver an operational life up to 2-4 times longer than copper and, in most cases, reduce downtime, replacement costs, and maintenance frequency.

A good coating is always highly dependent on barrel material to maintain a thick and uniform coating process.

Conventional Copper Alloys have low wear resistance to sustain the velocity and pressure required to obtain quality coating consistency.
Temperature Control
Adequate temperature control of the Nozzle is necessary within and outside the barrel to deliver high spray rates.
End of life disposal
Nozzle must be made from Non-hazardous and Recyclable material, to ensure it is environmentally friendly. QTi® meets these requirements fully.
High Surface Quality
Efficient, Combustion and particle heating helps in adequate delivery of the deposition material, in producing high quality coating.

Currently, Pahwa MetalTech manufactures standard HVOF (High Velocity Oxy Fuel) barrels in 4-inch, 6-inch, 8-inch, and 12-inch sizes, available in both standard and straight shank configurations for plasma spray coating applications.
