Pahwa MetalTech is a precision manufacturer based in Chakan, Pune, India, with over decades of experience producing investment castings and non-sparking safety tools for industrial buyers across 30+ countries. What we do is technically demanding — and we have built our entire operation around doing it consistently, to specification, every time.
Investment casting is a process that rewards process discipline over everything else. At Pahwa MetalTech, that discipline runs from the first engineering review of a component drawing through to final inspection and material certification. We work across copper alloys, stainless steel, and aluminium alloys, producing castings for applications in marine and naval, oil and gas, chemical processing, pharmaceutical, aerospace, and defence — industries where a casting that fails specification is not an inconvenience, it is a problem with real consequences. Our clients come to us because they need a foundry that understands that distinction and works accordingly.
Our non-sparking tool range is built on the same principle. We manufacture tools that workers in hazardous environments depend on for their safety, and we treat that responsibility seriously — through certified alloys, documented testing, and a product range that covers over 3,500 SKUs including Copper Titanium and Aluminium Bronze. Pahwa MetalTech is the only manufacturer in the world producing Copper Titanium non-sparking tools commercially.

Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) & The Economic Times have joined hands to bring SIDBI-ET India MSE Awards, a platform created to recognize and reward performers in both the micro & small enterprise categories for some outstanding achievements in the manufacturing & services sector. The awards are a celebration of contributions of those MSEs who have contributed to the ‘Make in India’ initiative.

G. S. Parkhe Award for Innovation in Entrepreneurship
G. S. Parkhe Award for Innovation in Entrepreneurship has been initiated to encourage innovation and new product development. These awards are being presented since 1947 to select deserving entrepreneurs, and have become the Hallmark of Recognition of Innovations and acceptance in the market.
Shri M. S. Parkhe of the Parkhe Group instituted this award in the memory of his young brother and innovator entrepreneur the late G.S. Parkhe for the SSI entrepreneurs.

Lalit Kumar Pahwa
CHAIRMAN & MANAGING DIRECTOR
He holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree with Honors in Mechanical Engineering from 1979 and completed his Post Graduation in Business Management from Symbiosis Institute of Management, Pune in 1982. For over 40 years, he has gained hands-on experience in multi-disciplinary engineering manufacturing and high-technology businesses. Throughout his career, he has held esteemed positions of CEO/MD in several reputed Indian and international organizations such as Tata Group, Escorts Ltd, Jervis B Webb, and American Axle & Manufacturing Inc. He has a vast global exposure to engineering manufacturing and technology companies, having extensively traveled to the USA, Canada, UK, Japan, Europe, Russia, Korea, Singapore, Sri Lanka, and other ASEAN countries. He has worked with business managers from various cultures.
As the Founder MD of a SME start-up Company - Pahwa MetalTech Pvt Ltd, he has conceptualized and implemented a project to manufacture high-tech copper titanium alloys and parts made thereof. The company is the sole manufacturer of this advanced material on a commercial scale globally. This unique contribution to the world of material science was developed in India by DRDO.
He is an active participant in various industry and technology forums such as CII, EEPC, ASM, FICCI, IIM, IIF, ICDC, and MCCIA. He is a member of MCCIA and CII Pune and has chaired the Pune Chapter of the Indian Institute of Metals since 2021. The Indian Institute of Metals (IIM), established in 1947, is a premier institution headquartered in Kolkata. He serves as the Chairman of the MSME Committee of MCCIA since 2022.
