Tools with copper compositions higher than 65 % should not be used in acetylene environments. Aluminum-bronze, Copper Titanium and hazardous copper-beryllium have copper content of more than 65%. In case of a leak, Copper can react with acetylene creating highly explosive acetylates.
We have developed a special Non Sparking certified Copper alloy 'ACTOOL' with Copper content less than 65% suitable for acetylene environments.
