Non Sparking Tweezer by Pahwa MetalTech

Precision Non-Sparking Tweezers for Sensitive Component Handling

Pahwa MetalTech's Non Sparking Tweezer is precision-engineered for reliable, spark-free performance in the most demanding hazardous environments. Compliant with ATEX, EN, and IS standards, these tools eliminate ignition risk in oil and gas, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, mining, and explosives industries. Every tool is quality-inspected for dimensional accuracy, alloy integrity, and functional performance before delivery, ensuring Zone 0, Zone 1, and Zone 2 classified area compliance throughout service life.

Non Sparking Tweezer

Material :

Pahwa MetalTech's Non Sparking Tweezer is available in two premium non-sparking alloys: QTi® (Copper Titanium) and BronAL® (Aluminium Bronze).

QTi® offers superior hardness and tensile strength for heavy-duty applications, with a longer service life than conventional beryllium copper.

BronAL® delivers excellent corrosion resistance, ideal for marine, chemical, and humid environments. Both alloys comply with ATEX, EN, and IS non-sparking tool certifications and are non-magnetic, ensuring safety in Zone 0, Zone 1, and Zone 2 classified areas. Material test reports and special certifications are available on request.

Size and Range :

Pahwa MetalTech offers the Non Sparking Tweezer in the following specifications: Neat tip and fine tip variants.

The range covers the most common operational requirements for hazardous area maintenance.

All sizes are manufactured to precise tolerances for reliable fit and performance. Custom sizes and configurations beyond the standard range are available on request for specific site requirements or OEM applications. Contact Pahwa MetalTech for custom configuration enquiries.

Applications :

Pahwa MetalTech's Non Sparking Tweezer is used across critical hazardous industries.

Explosives manufacturing, ordnance assembly, pharmaceutical cleanrooms, API handling, electronics in classified zones, precision instrumentation maintenance, and hazardous areas where small components, wires, inserts, and delicate parts must be precisely handled safely.

In all these applications, QTi® and BronAL® non-sparking alloys eliminate ignition risk from tool-to-surface contact, protecting personnel, equipment, and facilities. These tools help operations teams comply with OISD, PESO, ATEX, and other international safety frameworks governing classified zones.

Do's

  • Select the tip profile for the task — fine tip for small components, broad tip for flat components, angled for reach.
  • Apply gripping force gently — over-pinching on fragile or precision components deforms them or causes slippage.
  • Clean the tip faces before use — even microscopic particles between the tips prevent secure grip on small components.
  • Use the tweezers to place components, not to screw or push them — tweezer tips are gripping tools only.
  • Store tweezers with the tip end protected in a closed case — tip deformation is the primary cause of tool failure.
  • Check tip alignment by holding the tweezers to a light source — both tips must meet evenly along their full length.
  • For working in vibration-prone environments, use tweezers with a locking mechanism to maintain grip without hand pressure.
  • After use with adhesive, chemical, or solder, clean the tips immediately — hardened residue is difficult to remove.

Donts

  • Never use tweezers to pry apart components — the thin tip profile has no lateral strength and will permanently deform.
  • Do not apply tweezers to components at high temperature — heat transfer through the tips can cause burns to the operator.
  • Avoid using tweezers where the grip force required to hold the component is at the limit of tip spring force — the component will spring free.
  • Do not use bent or misaligned tweezers — uneven tips grip the component at a point instead of a face, causing slippage.
  • Never use tweezers as a scribe or engraving tool — this destroys the tip geometry.
  • Do not use standard steel tweezers in any classified zone — always use QTi® or BronAL® certified non-sparking tweezers.
  • Avoid storing tweezers tip-down in a container — contact with the container base deforms the tip geometry over time.
  • Do not use the tweezers with excessive pinch force on delicate electronic or explosive components — deformation is irreversible.
