It has many specialized applications in tools for hazardous environments, musical instruments, precision measurement devices, bullets, and aerospace. There has been continuous research over the world for development of new copper alloys that could replace Copper Beryllium because of its health effects.

Copper Titanium Alloy technology is developed by DRDO (Defence Research and Development Organizations) and patented with non sparking characteristics.

As shown below Copper Titanium alloy (QTi 145) alloy demonstrates similar properties are Copper Beryllium Alloys.

Copper Titanium Non-sparking tools will cost lower than Copper Beryllium tools and hence a strong substitute for Copper Beryllium.
